The General’s Son Speaks Out

He is a story of an atrocity and a crime against humanity.

‘The unit commander ordered everyone out of their homes.  Then he sent the women and children under 13 years of age back into their homes. The others he brought to another part of the camp, where the soldiers lined them up against a wall and shot them. Next the officer went and shot each one again in the head, more than 30 of them, including a 13-year-old boy and an 86-year-old man. Then he had the bulldozer run over the bodies until they were unrecognizable’.

Israel: Where ‘A’ Stands for Apartheid

Supposing Iran imposed strict regulations on its Jewish community telling them there are places in the country they cannot go to, or gives them special coloured number plates for their cars which identifies them as Jews or constructs a ‘barrier’ around their residences restricting their movements and effectively blocking them from accessing other parts of Iran, or make a strict checkpoint system where Jews would have to queue up for hours to get a permit to go to taboo places for legitimate business or to visit a sibling or to take a patient to hospital.

Nobody ever expected the Israeli court to convict or even hold the Israeli army, also known in Orwellian terms as ‘Israeli Defense Force’, culpable for the brutal murder of American activist Rachel Corrie in 2003.  But when judge Oded Gershon proclaimed, in the pompous way Israeli judges usually do when passing verdicts on gentiles, that Rachel Corrie’s death was her fault and that the driver of the Caterpillar bulldozer was in no way responsible since he couldn’t see her protesting on his way to demolish yet another Palestinian home in Gaza as ‘duty’ demanded.

Middle East - Why not a One State Solution? Hameed Abdul Karim There is a joke doing the rounds in Israel. It goes like this. An Israeli wanted to go abroad and so he thought he see a doctor to know if he needed to take an inoculation. In the small talk, the doctor asked him what he was doing for a living. "I am a writer” he said “Oh”, said the doctor, “what do you write? “Stories” he replied. “And what are you working on now?” queried the doctor “Israel” he responded. “Ah, I see”, said the doctor, “you specialise in short stories”.

Nukes:  The balance of terror

Behind all the war rhetoric emanating from the Western powers the one that is drilled into the minds of an already brainwashed people is that Iran is on the verge of developing a nuclear bomb. For this we have to believe the very same liars who told us Saddam Hussein had WMDs. Assuming the West is speaking the truth for once, then world sympathy should be with Iran.
