Responding to A.R.M. Imtiyaz’s ‘Moors of Sri Lanka are Not Perfectly Peaceful’
For the life of me I cannot imagine why my good e-pal Dr. A.R.M. Imtiyaz Razakwould want to write an article feeding on the same thrash that racist bigots in Sri Lanka, under various guises, throw at Muslims to propagate their doomsday scenarios in his article ‘Moors of Sri Lanka are Not Perfectly Peaceful’ that appeared in your popular ‘Colombo Telegraph’.

ALLAYING SINHALA BUDDHIST FEAR

Allaying Sinhala Buddhist Fears
           Response to Shenali Waduge

Hameed Abdul Karim

‘Oh you who believe if a wicked person comes to you with any news ascertain the truth, lest you harm people unwittingly and afterwards become full of repentance for what you have done’ Qur’an 49:6

The above is advice from the Qur’an. But for all intents and purposes these words could have come out of the lips of the ever content Buddha.

Truth is sacred and truth has no religion. Shenali Waduge must abide by this tenet if she is true to her conscience.

Let me point out one of many of her glaring untruths. She claims that Premanath Pereralage (Thungasiri) is awaiting execution for having a Buddha statue in his room at his work place. This is an absolute fabrication that was propagated by an extremist Sinhala Buddhist group. Waduge has swallowed this falsehood hook, line and sinker whether mistakenly or not is left to speculation. A senior official at our embassy, according to Arab News dated Sunday 8 July 2012, had slammed this story as a total fabrication. What had happened was that Pereralage was involved in a dispute over a housemaid who he had said was a relative. When things got out of hand the police arrived and took him into custody.

Islam as Enemy

Hameed Abdul Karim

The Western powers have always needed enemies to force their agendas down the throats of different nations at various times in history. With the end of colonialism, however, the U.S. spurred by its imperial mindset, has taken over the role of ‘civilising’ the former colonies, with the full backing of France, Canada, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK which now are, for all intents and purposes, U.S. satellite states.

Enemy number one has always been ‘Islam’. The war against Islam, however, was reduced to a low intensity conflict whilst the West engaged itself in the ‘Cold War’. When Soviet Russia eventually caved in due to Western pressure, not without the crucial help of the Afghan Mujahedin though, it trained its guns back on Islam.

Islam has always been a thorn in the West’s side. Despite centuries of colonialism the West has not been able to subdue the faith or the spirit of millions of its adherents.

War on Terror or Crusades?

Muslims see the West’s ‘war on terror’ as yet another campaign to crush Islam and think it’s a continuation of the crusades despite pious pontifications to the contrary. This raises the question - why does the ‘empire’, see Islam and the Muslims as enemies? This is largely because Muslims have never surrendered their passionate loyalty to their faith or their traditions in return for cars, coca-cola and in general the ‘good life’ which is fast crumbling under its own contradictions as we speak. Muslims had fought for their independence with ferocity as one insurrection after another during colonial occupation clearly demonstrates. Bear in mind that virtually all Muslim countries were under occupation of one Western colonial power or another for centuries but hardly any Muslim exchanged his or her faith for material gains. Even the likes of Salman Rushdie or Taslima Nazreen have not been able to make a dent in the mindsets of Muslims despite the West’s heavy funding and political support to bring Islam and Muslims into the ‘enlightened era’ and to fit in cozily with America’s PNAC.

The other day Al-Jazeera featured a former MI5 agent who confirmed what many people know. He confessed the British intelligence units stoked conflict between Protestants and Catholics in Northern Ireland and got them to go for each other's throats. MI5 got the results they wanted. Strife and bloodshed followed and a 'compassionate' London had to intervene to bring about stability in the strife torn land. Or that's how the story went in the corporate media.

DEAR PRESIDENT SARKOZY

Daily News Online Thursday, 28 April 2011

Think on these things Dear President Sarkozy

http://www.dailynews.lk/2011/04/28/fea02.asp

Europe is literally the creation of the Third World’ Frantz Fanon - Wretched of the Earth

Your decision to explore Islam and Muslims’ contribution to France is, for once, the right decision you have made though your motive, in your xenophobic madness is to denigrate Islam and demonise Muslims.
But after the announcement you seem to have become a tad too quiet on the subject. Probably some guy would have whispered in your ear that the whole thing can boomerang on you.
French President Nicolas Sarkozy
But let’s keep the investigation going. For starters, you might ask yourself where you got your short hairstyle. And when you ask around you might get to know today’s ‘men’s hairdo’ came from Muslims who came over from Baghdad to Europe to find cures to diseases that afflicted Europe. If you are stacking US dollars somewhere like your friend ‘brother leader’ in Libya you might notice the gentleman in the note has long hair. That was the hairstyle for men then. And when you take a wash just try to figure out where the soap you use came from. Soap was one of the many things Europeans brought from the Arabs during the Crusades. And while Christian Knights were butchering ‘infidels’ (Muslims) in Jerusalem enlightened Christians were sitting at the feet of Muslim scholars in Spain.

ISLAMOPHOBIA - IS THERE A SINISTER MOTIVE?

The Sunday Times II   -   10 April, 2011

Islamophobia:  Is There a Sinister Motive?

Hameed Abdul Karim

‘85% of American Muslim community leaders are an enemy living amongst us’
U.S Representative Peter King (R-NY)

A video doing the rounds on the internet claims that Muslims and Islam will take over Europe in the near future. Muslims, it said, would outnumber the non-Muslims and Sharia will replace the liberal values. The narrator, in a sepulchral voice, announced that it was too late for Europeans to turn the clock back because the birth rates of Muslims far exceeded that of the natives. Muslims went ecstatic on hearing the ‘news’ and in their triumphalism did not bother to check the ‘facts’ mentioned in the documentary or the sources. In the process, they missed the real motive behind the documentary which was to generate fear and hate among Westerners for Islam and the Muslims.

ISLAM, MUSLIMS AND PAKISTAN'S BLASPHEMY LAW

‘Show mercy and you will be shown mercy’ - Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him)

Every Muslim is obliged to love the prophet
The assassination of Salman Taseer must come, not only as a rude shock to those Ulemah (Muslim scholars) who had not lent their voices of reason and logic in the charged atmosphere Pakistan finds itself in, but also as a wake up call. It’s about time they got into action and explain to Muslims the requirement of mercy, love, compassion and forgiveness that is enshrined in the Qur’an.

Islam is Not a Violent Religion

Islam is not a violent Religion

By Hameed Abdul Karim

Some years ago there was a controversy among Muslims in London and quite a few of them were upset and annoyed over it. So a TV crew came over to interview Muslims about their stand on this controversy one day after Jummah but, to my surprise, not a single Muslim fell for the overtures of the anchorman, scampering from one Muslim to another to get his 'story' for the evening news. He couldn't get a single Muslim and I was happy in the thought that the Muslims were wise to the media game.
